  • AUDREY ENGLISH - Head of Production

    Audrey joined Milk and Honey in 2021. During this time she has overseen the delivery of two documentary series 'Get on Up - the Triumph of Black America' and 'Love, Faith and Me', both for the BBC. She also oversaw the archive-based co-production 'Britain's Human Zoos' for Channel 4.

    Audrey also works closely with Lucy Pilkington, the CEO of Milk and Honey Media, on the company's strategic development and day to day business management.

  • LUCY PILKINGTON - CEO

    Lucy is a multi award-winning producer with a track record in making and commissioning programmes for leading UK broadcasters and global streamers. She worked as a Commissioning Editor at BBC Worldwide, Channel 4 and Virgin Media, and has led creative teams at some of the UK's leading Indies.

    An industry trailblazer - she was the inaugural chair of the Royal Television Society Diversity Committee and In 2022 Lucy won the PACT Tribute Award for Innovation, Disruption and Creativity. She regularly sits on the Edinburgh TV Advisory Committee, and mentors young filmmakers for Netflix and Women In Film and Television. 

  • JO WOOLF - Executive Producer

    Jo Woolf is an Executive Producer. At Milk and Honey Media she’s overseen ten one-off BBC1 documentaries focussing on the lives of people from different religious communities. She’s previously worked on popular series such as First Dates and the Great British Bake Off, as well as the landmark series Child of Our Time.  Jo also runs training for TV professionals and is passionate about passing on knowledge and skills.

  • LIANA STEWART

    Liana Stewart is an award-winning Welsh Director specialising in observational and character-led documentaries for television and branded content. Liana has worked on a multitude of documentaries as a self-shooting director: Ambulance (BBC One), Grierson nominated for My First Time - Take Your Knee Off My Neck (Channel 4), Black & Welsh (BBC Wales) which was nominated for 3 Bafta Cymru awards, winning Best Factual Director.

  • ALEX BRISLAND

    Alex is a Development Executive, with 12 years’ experience. He’s had formats, single films and series of his own creation, commissioned by all major channels and streamers. He's worked with Milk and Honey since 2019, helping shape the development slate, including recent commissions, Salt and Get On Up. Alex also directs, often working with major presenting talent. His credits include: travelogues (Africa Rising with Afua Hirsch); biographies (Bruce Lee: A Life In Ten Pictures); and landmark arts series (Nature and Us: A History Through Art). His latest history series airs this year (Prison: Britain’s Criminal Past).

  • PAUL SHENKIN

    For 20 years Paul has produced and directed on shows such as Grierson’s nominated ‘Disability & Abortion: The Hardest Choice’, ‘Child Genius’, ‘The Apprentice’, ‘Undercover Big Boss’, ‘Junior Doctors’ and ’The Undateables’.

    Paul now brings his expertise to Milk and Honey, where he recently Series Directed on BBC1’s Grierson shortlisted, ‘Love, Faith and Me’.

  • MAEVE FITZPATRICK

    Maeve is a production co-ordinator at Milk and Honey, working on the current religious documentary in production for the BBC. She is also Milk and Honey’s assistant in development, working on conceptualising and pitching new documentaries to broadcasters. She worked previously as a researcher at Milk and Honey for the series ‘Love, Faith and Me’.

    She has experience as an international affairs editor at her student paper and spoke on a weekly news panel for the student radio station, XPression FM.

  • OBE JOSHUA

    Obe joined Milk and Honey in 2021 as a Producer on Get On Up: The Triumph of Black America, a 2 part documentary series for the BBC exploring race and power in US popular culture. He later went on to make his directorial debut with the company producing Dating: Halal Style a film on film on the fascinating world of Muslim marriage

    He has produced films for a range of broadcasters including Netflix, BBC, Amazon Prime, and Channel 5.

  • EMMA HARPIN

    Emma Harpin is an award winning Director and Producer making documentaries in arts, culture and factual entertainment. She started her career as a photo journalist at The Independent newspaper and moved into TV a decade ago.

    Her films for Milk & Honey include, ‘The Trouble with Naipaul’ and ‘The Believer’s Guide: Growing Older’. Emma’s storytelling has a commitment to narratives that resonate with authenticity and cultural significance.

  • DEBORAH LEE

    Deborah has worked in television for 25 years, making a range of documentaries that have delighted audiences and critics. As a PD and series producer, she has worked with presenters including Mary Beard and Ian Hislop, on subjects extending from the history of the Boy Scouts to the world’s most shocking works of art.

    For Milk and Honey she Exec Produced ‘Get On Up - The Triumph of Black America’. She’s passionate about finding new, entertaining and arresting ways of telling stories that feel relevant today.

  • MICHELE MARSLAND - Head of PR

    Michele Marsland is a publicity professional with two decades experience both producer and broadcaster side at Banijay, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

    She has worked on everything from cult hit Black Mirror, critically-acclaimed documentaries Bad Surgeon: Love Under The Knife & Limitless with Chris Hemsworth to Married At First Sight and Big Brother.

    She also has international experience at TV Land in Los Angeles and Paramount Pictures in Australia.
